A Message from the
Red Day Coordinator

Cardinal Nation,

Nearly twelve years ago I walked the stage at commencement and joined the alumni ranks of Lamar University.  Since then, I've experienced first-hand the power of being part of this special LU alumni community. It's a community that cares deeply for and supports one another.

This is why many of us come back to campus - and also why we give back.  I began contributing to Lamar University because I am forever grateful for the education I received, the memories I made here, and the extended family I've gained.  It's also the place where I met my amazing spouse, Mandy, where our two children love to attend various events, and I have the pleasure of being employed.  It's safe to say that Lamar University holds a near and dear place in my heart.

Red Day, Lamar University's inaugural Day of Giving, is a 24-hour fundraising campaign where we can come together as one Cardinal Nation and collectively give back to support the current, and future, students who will one day join the LU alumni community.  It's a day for us to show our pride in being a Cardinal and support the most urgent needs of the university while also giving back to the areas and programs that mean so much to us.

I hope you'll join me this Red Day on September 16-17 and give back to this beautiful campus.  Together, we can make an incredible impact and help inspire the next generation of Cardinals!
WE - Are LU.
